Digital Signage: Museums

 Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart

When it opened its doors in 2006, much of the museum was outfitted with digital audio and video equipment – over 250 monitors ranging from touchscreens to large, powerful video projectors. At the heart of all this equipment is VIDERO software, which manages, synchronizes and controls the digital audio and video content.

Mercedes-Benz boasts a long, colorful history. Now, the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart has enough room to tell this story – from start to finish.

"This will be the best, most interesting, most beautiful museum in the world",
said Max-Gerrit von Pein, the Mercedes-Benz Museum's curator, in the 7/05 issue of auto motor und Sport, a car magazine

The Mercedes-Benz world is located right at the gates to the company's parent plant in Untertürkheim. It symbolizes the brand's strong appeal and represents its past, present and future.

No other rock and pop history museum in Europe even comes close

VIDERO was originally developed for the German Rock and Pop Museum, where it supplements the exhibits with cutting-edge multimedia technology. Our aim was to:

  • Enable the curator to administer content easily
  • Allow content to be shared with other museums
  • Provide a future-proof solution with a predictable budget
  • Ensure compatibility with other media installations
